Twisted Blog Tour and Book Review

Blurb:

Cayden Rivers wants nothing more than to be normal, but we don’t always get what we want. For years he has been hiding a secret, afraid of being labeled a “freak”. Every day he goes to school, plays football, spends time with his girlfriend, and helps carry his drunken adopted father to bed. Nobody knows the truth about his unnatural speed and strength, including his life-long friend Camilla. Suddenly, four strangers enter Cayden’s life, and not only do they know his secret, they also have one of their own. With their help, Cayden discovers there is more to his power, something much more dangerous. Something other people will kill to possess. Camilla wishes her parents were around more. She gets lonely sleeping in her big empty house night after night. Sure, she has all the money she could ever need, but the only person who is there for her is Cayden. He has his own family and a girlfriend who takes up most of his time, so Camilla knows he won’t be there for her forever, and recently he’s been acting really strange. Will Cayden be able to keep his secret and his friendship with Camilla, or will his new found power destroy everything, including his own life? Switching between Cayden and Camilla's point of view, Twisted will leave you aching for more.

My Review:

I wasn't sure what to expect from Twisted; the book summary sounded interesting so I decided to join a blog tour for the book.  I am so glad that I did!  Twisted was exciting and had me page turning from the beginning of the book.  I wanted to know more about Cayden, his sister and best friend Cam.  I also wanted to know why he was such a moron and decided to date such a self-absorbed girl!  Wake up Cayden, even if you are a high schooler, see what is right in front of you!  But even more than that I wanted to know more about Cayden and who or what he was.  Were we talking vampire, werewolf, what was he???  Author KaCee R. does a great job of keeping the reader engaged and interested in Cayden's story.  As it unfolded I found myself anxious to find out more information and hopeful that things would end the way that I wanted them to!  While some things in this book were a bit predictable, I still found the entire book engaging as a whole.  I hurried to finish each chapter and constantly wanted more.  I was disappointed in the ending, it felt too abrupt for me.  Then I realized that there are more books, so that explains the more abrupt ending.  All in all this was a book that drew me in and I will definitely read the next one in the series.

*This book contains cussing and underage drinking.

You can pick up your own copy of Twisted via Amazon.

Happy Reading!!!

I received a copy of this book for free.  This is my honest review.
